CHIANG MAI: hot weather
Saturday, JUN 8, 2024 | Sunday, JUN 9, 2024
The Badwater Ultramarathon is a race renowned for taking its participants through Death Valley in the blazing heat. Running in that kind of heat is an art form. One that we’ll break down over this retreat, leveraging the heat and humidity of northern Thailand. When you get heat acclimatisation down to a science, you’re a stronger runner.

CHIANG MAI: zero-drop running
Saturday, JUL 6, 2024
Every runner has read Born to Run. If you haven’t, pick it up and you’ll be selling your Hokas as soon as you put it down. This workshop will focus on how to start zero-drop running whether you’re using sandals or zero-drop running shoes. We’ll learn about the adjustments you’ll have to make and all the new infrastructure you’ll be using, such as the energy recycling capabilities of the lower-leg musculature and the windlass mechanism of the foot.

CHIANG MAI: all about vert!
Saturday, JUL 27, 2024 | Sunday, JUL 28, 2024
Races (and running) in the north are all about elevation. We’ve designed this retreat to make those hills easier— knowing when to walk and how to rest on the uphills while burning the downhills. We have sessions focused on training your lower body, so you build a strong foundation and finish those hill runs injury-free. For those racing, we’ll tackle nutrition, GAP strategies, and what goes into your drop bags.
AUG 24
to AUG 25
CHIANG MAI: trail running for beginners
Saturday, AUG 24, 2024 | Sunday, AUG 25, 2024
Are ready to trade the asphalt for the trail? Over two days, we'll focus on how to prepare for the trail, what to pack, and how to manage the nature you do encounter (think snakes, insects, and aggressive dogs). We’ll focus on the importance of foot intelligence and a strong core to help you navigate uneven terrain. We cover basic strength training for runners to keep injuries at bay.
