CHIANG MAI: trail running for beginners

Saturday, Jan 11, 2025 | Sunday, Jan 12, 2025

Are ready to trade the asphalt for the trail? Over two days, we'll focus on how to prepare for the trail, what to pack, and how to manage the nature you do encounter (think snakes, insects, and aggressive dogs). We’ll focus on the importance of foot intelligence and a strong core to help you navigate uneven terrain. We cover basic strength training for runners to keep injuries at bay. Two trail runs and lunch included.

CHIANG MAI: how to run in hot weather

Saturday, JUN 7, 2025 | Sunday, JUN 8, 2025

Running in heat is an art form. Leveraging the heat and humidity of northern Thailand, we’ll tackle nutrition, hydration, pacing considerations, and specific heat exposure training (like how to run under a noonday sun). When you get heat acclimatisation down to a science, you’re a stronger runner. Heat runs and lunch included.

CHIANG MAI: zero-drop running

Saturday, JUL 19, 2025

This one-day workshop will focus on how to start running in zero-drop shoes or sandals without incurring injury. We’ll learn about the adjustments you have to make and all the new infrastructure you’ll be using, such as the energy recycling capabilities of the lower-leg musculature and the windlass mechanism of the foot. Lunch and a cool run included.

CHIANG MAI: all about vert!

Saturday, OCT 18, 2025 | Sunday, OCT 19, 2025

Races (and running) in the north are all about elevation. We’ve designed this retreat to make those hills easier— knowing when to walk and how to rest on the uphills while burning the downhills. We have sessions focused on training your lower body so you can finish those hill runs injury-free. For those racing, we’ll tackle nutrition, GAP strategies, and what goes into your drop bags. Hill runs and lunch included.

We’ve designed our retreats for small groups to retain our bespoke and personal approach to training.
